Sustainable management along with the overall distribution process and supply chain is important to us:
We take active responsibility for the development and preservation of our environment which is why we manufacture natural products that continue the biological cycle returning once again back to the ecosystem. The use of renewable, raw materials for the conservation of the peat moss reserves is a matter of course ASB Greenworld. This includes the creative development and innovation of products such as organic fertilizers, reduced phosphate fertilizer, and partial collaboration with universities or institutes.
ASB agriculture and farming uses regional raw materials such as green compost, wood chips and mulch. In recent years, ASB Greenworld has reduced its use of raw material peat in potting soil production by more than 50 percent!
All products of the BIO-line are free of synthetic and chemical ingredients. These healthy plants are sustained purely by natural and raw materials: They are also suitable for organic farming in accordance with EC Regulation 834/2007.
All manufacturing facilities are using cutting edge technology and the total energy consumption for plant production and development was reduced by 30 percent. The ASB logistics network is so well constructed it has now reduced the CO₂ emissions by up to 300 tons per year using shorter transport routes. The use of sustainable packaging materials goes without saying for our company - using only what is necessary and as little as possible.
For ASB Greenworld, community involvement is a fundamental and integral part of the corporate culture.
10,4 million square meters of bog habitats were already restored by ASB Greenworld
Each facility is supplied by regional mulch and compost plants Modern production facilities reduce energy consumption by 30% Renewable energies reduce CO₂ emissions by about 35 tons per year
The roof tops of our new facilities such as the Sembach factory, Rhineland-Palatinate, are equipped with solar systems that produce self-stainable energy. Using this technology, about 35 tons of CO₂ emissions could be saved per year.
The fertilizer plant in Soltau is powered by biogas.
After the deconstruction of the peat moss, ASB Greenworld has obtained the recipe for recultivation and renaturation. In cooperation with the Nature Conservation authorities, exemplary models for landscapes were developed in which the rehabilitation of peat lands were possible due to changing habitats in the natural landscape.
With an international presence for many years, and a presence in Germany since 1958, ASB Greenworld has been synonymous with quality garden products to meet the highest of demands.
